All I have gotten from customer service is a run around that they needed to find out who and why this was cancelled. I have been forced by this negligence to hire a local company myself to investigate and fix the problem. I expect as a minimum reimbursement for the emergency service call and something for the replacement pump. I have spent almost 7 hours over several days to get information on how to get reimbursed for a purchase I was told to make to replace an unfixable diswasher. It was very difficult to understand the representative for AHS as she is in a foreign country.

Take your money and dont want to reimburse for a repair. AMH is the worst company I have ever tried to deal with. The are very quick to take your co-pay when you have a problem and get your monthly payment but if not satisfied you will have a terrible time getting in touch with agent to complain.
I attempted calling Hornet several times before reaching them on Nov 28,22, I called and spoke with Crystall who gave me and appt on Dec 01,22 between 12p-4p. The fact that AHS covers poor maintenance and neglect as acceptable causes of damage is notable. Most home warranty companies exclude damage to appliances due to neglect or poor maintenance.

I submitted a service request yesterday over the phone for a malfunctioning or failed sewage ejector pump. It was all set up and had an appointment with the contractor. Today I went to the contractors site to track their arrival and to my surprise found that the work order had been cancelled. I called the contractor and was told AHS had cancelled it and they didn’t know why. On my AHS account page on the AHS web site the service request was gone. I have called and tried to escalate this because this is an emergency as we can’t use water or any facilities in our home because of sewage backup.
This is ridiculous…currently on phone waiting for a manager to discuss status that no one can provide. Been waiting for a manager to get on call with me going on 49 mins. I had an emergency Sunday with sewer blockage tollit in half bath ran over flooded bathroom and out onto brand new carpet. I hadn’t even lived in house for 3 was yet. It cost me $583to get sewer unclogged and they had to tear out drywall floor in entry bath and my new carpet. I’ve called numerous times everyday since Sunday & could never talk to anyone.
This company is just a and doesn't want to take care of its customers. First of all, they ask you to pay a service fee of $100.00 in addition to the premium you pay. The reason you pay the fee is that you are expecting to get a service from them, but they send someone to provide... American Home Shield has troublingly negative reviews regarding its customer service. Many consumer complaints describe problems with the contractors that AHS hires, including lack of expertise and lengthy delays caused by frequent disagreements between the contractor and AHS.

Your customer service is probably the worst set up of any company. We have been customers for 16 years but this is the first time we had to purchase a new appliance and its been a nightmare. I'm 90 days into waiting to get my washer fixed with excuses on parts. Contractor claiming they requested parts at the beginning and received the wrong parts. AHS claiming contractor did not request parts and AHS claims they have no record of conversation with my husband concerning this issue. I am prepared to take legal action and will go thru arbitration which will cost you more than replacing my washing machine.
The only exception to this is a maximum payout of $3,000 per appliance replaced or repaired. They are quick to ask for payment but not quick to reimburse. I called on a Friday late night for emergency assistance and no one was able to help. Finally on a Sunday, after hours of going back and forth, AHS approves an outside contractor vs theirs. I submit invoice for reimbursement and almost 3 weeks later still nothing.

The contractor came a day before his appointment only to use our bathroom. As soon as he saw it was a camera doorbell he told me his company does not work on these and are not allowed to touch them.
